A serendipitous conversation on a bus during her first semester led to Maria San Román’s four-year involvement with SNAP’s Penn State chapter. Four years later, she is preparing to graduate in May with an impressive array of achievements under her belt.
As president of SNAP at Penn State during her senior year, Maria led the chapter to winning the Chapter Excellence Award at the statewide convention for the third year in a row, and developed a website that won the Outstanding Chapter Website award at the same event. On a personal level, Maria was honored to receive the Student Leader Scholarship Award, administered through the Office of Student Activities, in December.read more
