Join us to learn more about the Second Degree Program!

Offered at Penn State Altoona, Penn State Behrend, and Penn State Harrisburg campuses, this 16-month program for students with a non-nursing bachelor’s degree provides a fast track to a nursing career. Sessions are open to future year applicants too.

Applicants must complete a bachelor’s degree in a non-nursing field by the end of the spring semester prior to program start; prerequisite course requirements are available online. Admission is competitive and GPA-based, with a preferred cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher, though applicants with lower GPAs may be considered. Full or conditional offers are made on a rolling basis through December 1, with decisions issued by mid-February. Late applications may be reviewed on a space-available basis through the summer.
