Message from the Dean

Dear Alumni & Friends,

I hope this letter finds you all in good health and high spirits. As we celebrate a decade of excellence and progress at the Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing, I am honored to reflect on the incredible journey we have embarked on together. This momentous occasion marks not only the 10th anniversary of our esteemed college but also a decade of nurturing and empowering passionate nursing professionals like you.

Over the past ten years, we have strived to create an environment that fosters innovation, compassion, and dedication to the nursing profession. You all have been instrumental in delivering expert care, shaping the healthcare landscape, and leading initiatives that have a profound impact on patient care and well-being.

Looking towards the future, I am delighted to announce upcoming alumni events featured in this newsletter that will provide an opportunity for you all to reconnect with old friends, network with new faces, and discover how our college continues to grow and evolve. These events serve to celebrate the profound contributions of our graduates to the field of nursing and reinforce the college’s commitment to lifelong learning and camaraderie.

However, the future of healthcare would undoubtably be volatile without the success of our current students, so I call upon you to play an active role in shaping the next generation of nurses. Your experience and wisdom are invaluable assets, and I encourage you to impart this knowledge and participate in the college’s mentoring program. By offering guidance and support to our current students, you can inspire them to reach new heights and make a difference in the lives of countless patients.

Together, we have accomplished so much in the last ten years, and I am confident that the years ahead hold even greater potential. Let us unite to strengthen the legacy of the Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing and continue our tradition of excellence in patient care, research, and education.

Thank you for being an integral part of our journey, and I eagerly anticipate your presence in our upcoming alumni and college events and mentoring initiatives. #WeAre

Be well,

Laurie A. Badzek, LLM, JD, MS, RN, FNAP, FAAN
