Dear Nursing Alumni and Friends,
It is an honor to serve as your President of the Penn State Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing Alumni Society for another year. I stand on the shoulders of a line of very dedicated alumni presidents and boards of directors. I am grateful for the help and support of the board members who serve with me, each of whom brings distinct gifts and talents to our organization.
The mission and commitment of our college’s Alumni Society remains the same, to keep our alumni connected to our school and each other, and to support the students who will follow as future nurses. Building on traditions from the past, creating new ones, and refocusing our efforts to build upon a strong history and foundation will continue to be our goal. We Are…..Penn State Nurses.
As we reflect back on where we have been over the past 10 years and where our school is going, we should think about how we can help meet the needs of those who will follow us. Many alumni are already participating at so many levels, giving of their time, talent and treasure. In big ways and in small ways, your contributions are important and valuable. As alumni, we are a vital thread in the fabric of this institution and college, and your support and participation is needed as ever.
We hope that you can join us for some great upcoming events for our nursing alumni, sponsored by the Nese College of Nursing and the Alumni Society:
- Nese College of Nursing Alumni & Friends Tailgate (PSU vs. Delaware) on Saturday, September 9, 2023.
- Penn State Homecoming Parade (walk in the parade with fellow alumni and SNAPs members) on Friday, October 13, 2023.
- Nese College of Nursing 10 Year Celebration on Saturday, November 4, 2023.
- Nese College of Nursing Alumni Penn Staters Give Back: Random Acts of Kindness Week November 21 – 28, 2023.
We would also love for you to become active members in the Nese College of Nursing Alumni Society and we hope you will consider becoming an alumni mentor.
