Join us as we celebrate true heroes, nurses, who showed care and compassion to a stigmatized population when they need it the most. We will discuss how healthcare has and hasn’t changed since the early 1980’s for HIV persons, LBGTQA+ persons, and how nursing has led by example to provide humanistic care to those who needed it most and continues to do so today with HIV patients and other stigmatized populations, including those impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Live viewing of the documentary, 5B, will be from 4:30–6:00 p.m. The panel-led discussion will be from 6:00–7:00 p.m. Participants may either watch the documentary prior to the program and join in the discussion or attend the live viewing session and the discussion.
