Purpose:
This national initiative, led by Penn State in partnership with AgingIN, seeks to empower nursing home residents, families, staff, leaders, researchers, advocates and policy makers, to meaningfully engage in patient-centered comparative clinical effectiveness research. By building knowledge, networks, and tools, we aim to strengthen nursing home communities’ capacity to collaborate in research (CER) — where it is urgently needed but rarely conducted.
Impact:
Through a community advisory board, stakeholder training, and a growing national network, this project co-creates a sustainable solution to ensure the voices of nursing home partners guide the future of research, care, and policy. Together, we are laying the groundwork for more inclusive, equitable, and evidence-informed skilled nursing care.
