Yohn has been a Family Nurse Practitioner since 1996. After graduation she worked as a FNP for Family Health Associates and from 2011-2023 for Penn State Health in State College. She has been teaching in the College of Nursing since 2012, initially as a joint appointment between the Penn State College of Medicine and College of Nursing. Her teaching focus has been in the MSN Primary Care NP programs and more recently the DNP-NP courses.
Yohn has been a board member of the Pa Coalition of Nurse Practitioners for 20 years, a member of the Midstate NP Associations, a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and a member of the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculties.
Yohn’s clinical interests include Women and Heart Disease, Lyme Disease, and nurse practitioner preceptor support.
