Wissemann has passions for maternal-child nursing, simulation, and interprofessional education, all which stemmed from her decade of service in the Army Nurse Corps. She’s cared for patients around the world in countries such as Kuwait, Iraq, and Afghanistan. She loves to teach and have held instructor certifications in various maternal-child, pediatric, and adult resuscitations programs, as well as various teaching positions for other undergraduate nursing programs. Wissemann served as a Women’s Health Service Line Educator for a military community hospital and Chief of Education for a military healthcare organization. She’s always looking for opportunities to engage with students, create realistic simulation learning experiences, and share my passion for maternal-child nursing. She hopes to work with PSU nursing in future global nursing opportunities.
