She also holds a multidisciplinary master’s degree in the arts, with a focus on ceramics and museum studies, which informs her creative approach to teaching and community engagement. With a clinical background in emergency and forensic nursing, she continues to practice as a staff nurse and Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) at Independence Health.
A 2024–2025 Penn State Global Learning Fellow, Perry’s academic interests include the integration of the arts into health education, global learning, and intentional career development in nursing. She has developed and led study abroad initiatives focused on wellness and community engagement through interdisciplinary and cross-cultural experiences. An active presenter at state, national, and international levels, she has also represented emergency nursing as both a national and international delegate.
