Blackburn’s work and research interests focus on nursing students, new graduate nurses, and the transition to nursing practice. She actively participates on numerous Advisory Boards for Transition to Practice programs at the local, state, and regional levels. Her PhD research specifically explores how expectations impact a nurse’s transition into nursing practice.
