Barlick-Reed has been in the healthcare industry for over 30 years. Along with being a nurse, she is a paramedic in which she transitioned her certification to a Prehospital Registered Nurse. She has worked as a nurse in the emergency room, intensive care units and medical-surgical-oncologic units. She also has experience in leadership as a house supervisor, administrator on duty and unit director. This diversity, helps within the education process of her students to give them that full picture of all the opportunities that are available to them as nurses. Barlick-Reed also is the Global Coordinator, helping those students that wish to broaden their horizons within travel while in nursing school; most recent travel to Ireland. In her spare time, she is a mother of 4 and a grandmother of 2 with 2 on the way. She loves the sun and every possible downtime she spends it in the sun or traveling. Also, she enjoys her 4-legged Yorkie friends, Trixie, Jax, Roxie and Piper.
