Adam is a teaching professor of Nursing at the Penn State Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing and Director of Undergraduate Nursing Education at Penn State Schuylkill. Adam has been a nurse educator for over 30 years in diploma, undergraduate and graduate programs, joining  the Nese College of Nursing in 2014.

Research

Research & Publications
Research Interests and Areas of Expertise

Research foci include individuals experiencing chronic disease such as heart failure, type 2 diabetes and substance use disorder. The projects involved difficult conversations; surrounding reaction to diagnosis, challenges surrounding self-care, experiences for family members, registered nurses and stigma in substance use disorder. Other research interests include faculty mentoring and professional identity development in nursing students.
