A letter from Megan Verbos

Dear Nursing Alumni and Friends,

With the start of the New Year, the Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing and Alumni Society says good bye to the challenges of 2020 and looks forward to a bright 2021.

Although the COVID-19 pandemic halted our normal way of life, we were able to connect alumni from all over the country during our Zoom Paint and Sip event in September 2020, which was well attended by Penn State nursing alumni and friends of the Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing.  Alumni had the opportunity to reconnect with former colleagues and complete a Penn State painting! In addition, the Alumni Society participated in the 2020 Virtual Homecoming Parade and was awarded Top Overall Video. Then in November 2020, alumni participated in a week long Acts of Kindness Challenge, showing that #PennStatersGiveBack even during a pandemic.

The alumni society will be sponsoring several events this Winter and Spring 2021.  Check for updates on the Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing website, and our Facebook group page, Penn State Nursing Alumni Society.  If you are interested in serving on our alumni society board, please send an email to conalumni@psu.edu, we are always looking for new members!

For the Glory,
