The College of Nursing seeks applications for a full-time non tenure line faculty member in the Practice Nurse Practitioner Doctoral Program within the College of Nursing at the University Park campus or the Hershey campus. Travel to other campuses may be necessary. The Penn State College of Nursing is one of the most comprehensive colleges of nursing in any public university in the country. With over 2,100 undergraduate students and approximately 200 graduate students, our footprint is world-wide with our faculty creating immeasurable experiences for our students around the globe. This will be a full-time thirty-six-week appointment with full benefits. The successful candidate will be expected to teach fall and spring semesters with an anticipated start date as early as August 2021.
Primary responsibilities include teaching courses in-person and online, clinical supervision, serving on student doctoral committees, advising students and other service and scholarly activities. The rank of the position will be determined by the credentials of the successful candidate. This position requires national certification as a Nurse Practitioner (FNP preferred) and PA State license as a CRNP (or be eligible for PA licensure) and minimum of one-year experience as CRNP. Candidates must be prepared at the doctorate level (DNP preferred). Teaching experience is preferred.
This position requires the following clearances: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to the clearance.
