The Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing ( seeks applications for a full-time non tenure line faculty member in the Nurse Practitioner Doctoral Program within the Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing at the University Park campus or the Hershey campus. Travel to other campuses may be necessary. This will be a full-time thirty-six-week appointment with full benefits. The successful candidate will be expected to teach fall and spring semesters with an anticipated start date as early as August 2022. This is a limited-term position funded for one year, with excellent chances of renewal.

Primary responsibilities include teaching courses in-person and online, clinical supervision, serving on student doctoral committees, advising students and other service and scholarly activities. The position will be filled at the Assistant Teaching Professor or higher rank based upon the credentials of the successful candidate and requires national certification as a Nurse Practitioner and PA State license as a CRNP (or be eligible for PA licensure) and minimum of one-year experience as CRNP. Candidates must be prepared at the doctorate level (DNP preferred). Teaching experience is preferred. We offer a competitive salary, commensurate with qualifications and experience.

This position requires the following clearances: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to the clearance.

The Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing is one of the most comprehensive colleges of nursing in any public university in the country.
