The January-March 2008 issue of Critical Care Nursing Quarterly, dealing with the theme of Geriatric Care in Acute & Critical Care Settings, was co-edited by three nursing professors at Penn State’s Hershey Medical Center: Victoria Schirm, Ph.D, RN; Judy Norris Himes, MSN, CAN, BC; and Tamara H. Murphy, MS, APRN, BC, CCRN. Ten of the thirteen articles were written by Penn State nurses and focus on the complex issues faced by older adults and their families in acute tertiary hospital settings.
