The College of Nursing Mentoring Program kicked off their third year on Saturday, October 6, with a luncheon, presentations, and networking. Mentors and mentees met for the first time, enjoyed getting to know one another, and worked on their goals for the academic year. We are pleased to have 20 continuing pairs and 55 new pairs for this year. Our mentors hail from all over the country, with diverse nursing backgrounds such as nurse anesthetist, trauma program director, cardiac cath lab manager, director of nursing operations, and psychiatric nurse practitioner. The students are at both Hershey and University Park campuses and are interested in areas such as pediatrics, ob/gyn, critical care, nurse administration, gerontology, and community health. We are proud to continue this vital program and hope you will consider helping to shape our student nurses’ lives by becoming a mentor.
