The Penn State College of Nursing will present a seminar with Hollyce Winters, a local attorney and executive director of the Centre County Bar Association, from noon to 1 p.m. on Sept. 27. The seminar will take place in room 101 of the Nursing Sciences Building on the University Park campus.

Winters will discuss “Ethical and Legal Aspects Related to Persons with Cognitive Impairment.” Registered nurses who attend will be eligible for 1 continuing nursing education (CNE) unit. The College of Nursing is an approved provider of continuing nursing education by the Pennsylvania State Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Because seating is limited, advance registration is required. Participants may also join the seminar virtually. To register and/or obtain videoconferencing information, please contact Donna Massari at or 814-863-1048 by Sept. 24.

The seminar is part of the 2018-19 Collaborative Seminar Series presented by Penn State’s Center for Nursing Research and Center of Geriatric Nursing Excellence.
