Oluwamuyiwa Winifred (Winnie) Adebayo, PhD, BSN, RN
Dr. Adebayo began her appointment as an assistant professor of nursing on February 15. She has a Ph.D. in nursing from the University of Miami (Coral Gables, Fla.), and a B.S.N. from South Carolina State University (Orangeburg, S.C.). Before coming to Penn State, Winnie was a teaching assistant and research assistant at the University of Miami. She also has several years of hospital nursing experience. Winnie’s research interests include clinical and translational research, proactive HIV testing, community engagement, and youth/teens/young adults/adolescents.
Shaweta Gupta, PhD
Dr. Gupta began her appointment as an assistant research professor in September 2017. She divides her time between the Center for Nursing Research and the Clinical and Translational Science Institute. She has a Ph.D. in physiology and biophysics from the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York, where she worked in various roles, most recently as a scientific workforce specialist for the CTSA and KL2 award programs, before coming to Penn State. Dr. Gupta provides faculty support for grant writing preparation, publications, and IRB applications.
